Chief Health Operations Officer
Allison Paul serves as Chief Health Operations Officer at Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness. In this role, she helps lead clinical operations, patient care strategy, and operational performance across the organization’s health services.
Healthcare Operations Leadership
Allison is a healthcare operations executive and board-certified advanced nurse executive. She brings extensive experience in hospital operations, nursing practice, patient care services, quality improvement, workforce engagement, and patient experience.
Throughout her career, Allison has focused on strengthening care delivery and improving operational efficiency. She has also supported clinical teams, advanced patient safety, and helped improve performance across complex healthcare environments.
Before joining Aunt Martha’s, Allison held senior leadership roles with Hospital Sisters Health System. Her roles included Central Illinois Market Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Nursing Officer of HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Illinois Statewide Chief Nursing Officer, Central Illinois Division Chief Nursing Officer, and Interim President and CEO of St. John’s Hospital.
Experience Across Patient Care Services
In these roles, Allison provided administrative direction for nursing and patient care services across large hospital settings. Her responsibilities included multi-hospital leadership for nursing practice, patient care policy, throughput, quality, and operational performance.
Her leadership experience includes emergency services, perioperative services, inpatient care, women’s and children’s services, pediatric care, and systemwide nursing standardization. She has led initiatives that improved patient flow, strengthened quality performance, supported colleague engagement, and advanced patient safety and patient experience.
Education and Credentials
Allison earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in Systems Leadership from Rush University College of Nursing. She also earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University.
She is a Registered Nurse, a Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Nurse Executive, Advanced-Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Allison has also served as Board Secretary for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois and as an IHA CNO Forum representative. In addition, she has been named among the Top 50 Women Chief Nursing Officers by Women We Admire.
