ICC Step Down

The ICC Step Down is a supportive, home-like setting for young people moving toward permanency

The ICC Step Down program is a place where young people transitioning from the ICC can re-adjust to living in a home setting as they wait for long-term placement. Attention is given to minimizing trauma by creating a safe, predictable, structured living environment.

Step Down Services

Among the targeted services youth receive during their stay at the ICC Step Down are:

  • On-going educational support (including the youth’s home school, as appropriate)
  • Vocational support
  • Life skills coaching and support
  • 24/7 access to integrated primary care, behavioral and mental health services, and other care to address their social determinants of health.

Enhanced Clinical Support in the Step Down Setting

The program can also provide increased clinical services to serve youth with greater needs, including those who have symptoms and functional impairments where continued assessment, treatment and longer-term planning is needed.
