Cynthia Young, RN, is Aunt Martha’s Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Operations. In this role, she is responsible for the daily oversight of clinical operations at all of the organization’s 23 community health centers and works collaboratively with all departments to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, HRSA and Title X program and quality standards. Since joining Aunt Martha’s in 2015, she has led numerous clinical quality improvement initiatives related to infection control, medication management and clinical guidelines.
Ms. Young began her career as a bedside nurse in a hospital setting. After several years, she transitioned into delivering nursing care in ambulatory care facilities where she practiced in numerous specialty clinics as well as primary care. She has also served previously as the operations manager of a 13-physician, multidisciplinary practice.
Ms. Young prides herself with always putting the patient first and strives to make a difference in delivery systems to improve both patient experience and health outcomes. She has an active Illinois Registered Nurse License and holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University.
