Angélica Jiménez is the Vice President of Grants, Legal and Compliance. She joined Aunt Martha’s in October 2018 and was promoted to her current role in June 2020. Prior to Aunt Martha’s, she was the Director of Communications and Member Relations for the Illinois Collaboration on Youth.
Her previous legal experience includes roles as a Guardian ad Litem at Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee and Staff Attorney at FRIENDS, Inc., which provides legal, housing, prevention, and counseling services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Southeast Wisconsin.
Angélica’s commitment to advocating for underserved and marginalized communities is central to her professional work experience. Angélica also has served as an Assistant Editor and Reporter for Latina Voices, Extra Bilingual Community News, and AustinTalks, covering Chicago’s Austin community on the city’s West Side.
Angélica earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago.
