Getting ready ‘fore’ a great time...

Residents and businesses are signing up for Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center's 7th Annual Charity Golf Outing!  The fundraiser is scheduled for August 15, 2008 at Hilton Chicago-Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale.  This year, golfers will play on Blackhawk Trace.
Hail golf!
Some tools of the game. "We're excited abut this year's event and raising awareness of Aunt Martha's services throughout Illinois", said John Annis of Joliet and Chairperson of the 2008 golf committee.  "The outing is always fun and provides an opportunity for professional networking while helping children and families in many communities access the services they need!"

Registration for the event begins at 11:30am followed by a box lunch at noon.  Tee off is at 1pm and play is a scramble format.  Entry fee for golf is still a great rate of $125 per person or $500 per foursome and includes lunch, cart with GPS, golfer BBQ buffet and awards.  Golfers will have an opportunity to win $10million in the hole-in-one contest as well as other exciting activities.  The day's activities will also include a raffle and silent auction, both with fabulous items – you won't want to miss the fun!  Funds raised support local services for children, youth and families.

To register, call Nina Albrecht, Project Manager, at 708-709-7543.

10th Annual Poker Run!

The Danville Firefighters along with the Friendly Tavern are set to host their 10th annual Poker Run on Saturday July 12, 2008.  This community event will raise money for Aunt Martha's Vermilion Area Community Health Center.  Over 400 motorcyclists from across central Illinois are expected to participate in the event.

Love a winding country road...

Participants will ride from Danville to the outlying communities of Cayuga and Attica Indiana and Rossville and Penfield Illinois.  Riders will have the opportunity to learn about the Vermilion Area Community Health Center prior to and throughout the event through literature and interaction with Aunt Martha's employees, board members and volunteers.

The community is invited to participate in the ride or dinner or through sponsorships, donating items for the raffle, purchasing raffle tickets.  All proceeds raised from the event will be presented to Aunt Martha's Vermilion Area Community Health Center.
